• Upcoming Work
  • Concrete curb & gutter and concrete driveway installation on Village Drive, Lee Valley Circle, and Weston Circle is scheduled to begin on Monday. 6/1.
    • Driveways will be inaccessible for 5 days once the curb is poured to allow the concrete to cure.
    • Door hanger notifications have been delivered with parking information during concrete curb installation and curing.

Traffic Update:

• Expect delays on Lanham Ln southbound at Kemrich Dr on 5/27 and 5/28. Please utilize northbound Lanham Ln toward W. 70th St.

• CenterPoint Energy will continue installing new gas service lines the week of 5/26 and is expected to be complete by mid-June.

CenterPoint Energy:

• CenterPoint Energy will start installing new gas service lines the week of 5/18 and is expected to be complete by mid-June.

We apologize for the confusion regarding the notifications given out for the temporary mail bank locations. These were prepared by a subcontractor, with errors, and delivered without the City's approval. Mail delivery at these temporary mail banks is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 29. The temporary mail bank information for the following Phase 1 streets can be found here.

• Lee Valley Circle and Weston Circle

• Antrim Court and Antrim Terrace

Construction in your neighborhood is scheduled to begin on April 27 at a location to be determined. Residents are invited to a construction kickoff meeting on Thursday, April 23 from 5:30-6:30 PM at the Braemar Golf Course Clubhouse at 6364 John Harris Drive. Staff will be available to discuss the project details and review frequently asked questions.

CenterPoint Energy will be replacing old gas main pipes and services in the western portion of the project area this spring. Some details on CenterPoint Energy's project:

1. CenterPoint Energy’s contractor, Michels Corporation, is scheduled to begin gas main installation on April 13.
2. City staff will only be onsite for this work periodically to ensure the gas main is not placed in the way of future infrastructure
3. If applicable, CenterPoint Energy will also be replacing gas meters inside of property owners homes, relocating them outside.

The City Council awarded the construction contract to McNamara Contracting on April 7.

A construction kickoff meeting will occur in April where staff will be available to discuss the project details and review frequently asked questions. Standby for a future post and mailing with details on the construction start and kickoff meeting date and location. The tentative construction start date is April 27, the start location is up to the contractor to decide, and is to be determined.

We anticipate the assessment costs to be similar the the following costs, by district, presented at the December 2025 Public Hearing.

• District 1 - $19,000 per Residential Equivalent Unit (REU)
• District 2 - $9,700 per REU
• District 3 - $1,700 per multi-family residential unit (condominium)

The final assessment amounts are payable beginning in 2027 after construction is complete.
